7-ON-7 Tournament
We are proud to announce and host our first 7on7 tournament Saturday May 30, 2026 at Dublin Scioto High School.
Format:
- 8 teams
- 7–15 players per roster
- 3 game pool play
- 5 game guarantee for all teams
- A champion will be crowned
Cost:
$300 per team.
The first seven teams to register will be entered into the tournament. The eighth team will be the SDU select team.
Tourney Schedule:
Check-in: 1:15pm
Pool Play: 2:00pm start time (20 min running clock)
Playoffs: Top 4 teams advance to Semi-final
Championship Game: 20 minutes
Consolation bracket: Bottom 4 teams will play for final seedings
Roster Rules:
- Max 15 players per team
- Minimum 7 players to start
- Teams provide own QB
- Same players must stay with team entire tournament
- No adding players mid-event
SDU 7-on-7 Tournament Rules
Offense
- QB has 4 seconds to throw
- No run plays
- One forward pass only
- Laterals allowed behind LOS
- Ball spotted where tagged (1-hand touch)
- Must have 4 players on LOS
- 4 downs to get a first down at the 20 yard line. 4 new downs to score 20 yards and in.
- No blocking
Defense
- 1 blitz before midfield; 1 blitz after midfield (must occur 7 yards from LOS)
- Man or zone allowed
- Interceptions can not be returned
- No contact past 5 yards
- No tackling
Scoring
- Touchdown = 6 points
- Interception = 3 points
- Extra point from 5 yards = 1 point
- Extra point from 10 yards = 2 points
Game Rules
- 20-minute running clock
- No timeouts
- Tie in pool play = tie (total score of all 3 games will determine seeding)
- Playoff tie = sudden death (1 play on offense or defense. Success on either wins game)
- Championship = final score wins
* Players are encouraged to wear soft shell headgear
* Players are encouraged to wear a mouthpiece
Tournament Field Setup:
- 40 yard field
- Midfield first down
- 1 ref per field
- Ref 4-second clock
